BTsplitter works with any 12V automotive system that has combined brake/turn signal wiring. This includes custom builds, classic cars, hot rods, performance vehicles, and trailers. If your vehicle has two wires (left brake/turn, right brake/turn), BTsplitter will split them into three outputs.
No! BTsplitter works perfectly right out of the box with default settings. Programming knowledge is only needed if you want to customize timing parameters or modify firmware - completely optional for advanced users.
Yes! IRF9540 MOSFETs provide 23A continuous current per channel - enough for any automotive lighting load including LEDs, incandescent bulbs, multiple LED strips, or high-power custom arrays.
BTsplitter requires a switched 12V power connection (one extra wire vs. passive splitters). This powers the ESP32 microcontroller and enables all intelligent features: brake persistence, debouncing, serial debugging, and firmware updates. Connect to any switched 12V source that turns off with ignition (like accessories, dash cam, or radio).
Installation requires basic automotive wiring skills. You'll connect 7 wires total: power, ground, two inputs, and three outputs. Detailed wiring diagrams and installation guides are provided in our Support section.
We provide comprehensive support via email at [email protected], detailed online documentation, wiring diagrams, and a GitHub repository with open-source firmware. Serial debugging at 115200 baud helps troubleshoot any issues.
